Some Fine Art...
The other day my family and I decided it was a beautiful day and we needed to take a hike. We have this favorite little stsate park that I love expecially because there are NO other PHOTOGRAPHERS there and it is kind of off the beaten path. enjoy the images of nature...
I love the sun shining through the leaves.

This is a cool location...I WILL be back to do family portraits!

How this all began...
This is the studio before all of the renovations...Kindermusik relocated to UNI when I purchased this building.
This is the studio/gallery now. We added flagstone in the front, new siding and landscaped the front. We pulled out the grass because well, I hate to mow!
This is the Gallery space- A little cramped right?
Take a look at the blog on my photography website called "The Buzz" and you will see how this space morphed into a Gallery of Art as well as a working photography studio-
Elements Of Art Gallery
C. Diane Bolinger -"I do not have digital negatives made of this image. I am not able to make prints of it. It is painted with Acylic paint on canvas. In October of 2006 my boyfriend died suddenly after a long battle with bipolar disorder. I was in a fog when I painted this picture and thought I was just painting a tree. I named it October Tree. It wasn’t until months later that I realized that the magnificent tree with no leaves was Fred and his dark cloud behind him. All the other trees on the background were thriving with vibrant color while this tree had died too soon. At least that what I think, maybe it is just a tree.l - This is "Fred's Tree" or October Tree. "
Kathy Cessna - mentions this is handmade work of art with peices of wallpaper and fabrics that create lot of different textures. This is a large multi textured canvas. This is huge painting is, but really not a painting at all. You have to see it to believe it!
Kathy Cessna - One Bright Spot
an upclose shot of the textured print below.
Multi-textures of glass, papers and paint hand made by Kathy Cessna
metallics, blue, reds and browns - simply beautiful. This is a large print and perfect for over a sofa...
I love these hand made vessels with their matching platters. The Gold Leaf platter and vessel is available through my new Gallery - Elements Of Art! They are stunning, and creative!
Diane, relates that this gold bowl and platter were made with Stoneware clay, Mayco Glazes, and composite Gold Leaf, brown glaze and sealant. The texture was achieved through using an old tire. The glaze is one of a kind. I mix different glazes together for the effect and often it will never replicate the same way twice. The inside of the bowl is food safe but I would Not recommend it for food. The gold leaf on the outside should never be put in a dishwasher but can be dusted and cleaned with a moist cloth when needed

Here is the Earthen Vessel with platter .
This earthen bowl was inspired by an unusual clam shell that Diane's son found. The colors were inspired by the earth with browns and blues and whites and greens. Diane used Stoneware clay and a handmade mixture of Mayco glazes. It is food safe but it is recommended to be a decorative piece rather than a functional piece of art. The outside texture is dimpled to allow the glazes to pool and mix during the firing process to create new colors and mixes.
Check out the detail in the bowl - stunning
I really need more items! I am hoping to have some more art this week! I have another potter sending me some differnt items to display and some jewlery artists also...Can't wait to receive those!
Kathy Cessna created these just for my gallery. They remind me of high rises in a big city.

Another Kathy Cessna Abstract. Simple, yet beautiful! I love the color pallet and the composition!

AQUATIC BOWL/PLATTER
This blue and aqua bowl took direct inspiration from a love of the ocean. The wavy curves and lines and the dimpled outside reminds Diane of the waves and crustaceans that you find in the ocean. It was made with Stoneware clay and a handmade mixture of Mayco glazes. The inside of the bowl and platter had a crackle glaze applied and then a blue and aqua ink were rubbed into the delicate surface for the effect. It is not food safe.

I love the Unique Tripod Vase made by Rebecca Lowery from Bloomington Indiana

These three little vases sit on a shelf like old friends. They seem to dance with color and light that is reflected from the window close.
Thrown mugs made by Rebecca Lowery. Beatiful and perfect to hold close to your heart on a cold day..fill it with a little coffee and make a smile come across your face.
Love these mugs. They are food safe..and ready for you to drink your next cup of hot tea or coffee out of! Stop by the Gallery to pick them up!

This is the inside of the Gallery. I will be shopping for furniture this weekend to fill the empty space...but first I need some products!
To get your bearing in the gallery, the wild wall, which I hate to paint over is a northern wall, the open door leads into my office. The while door under this text is a storage area...

This is the South wall
